Five years ago, Dan was homeless, living in supported accommodation, and struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.

Cartridges Law continues support for local charity group

Cartridges Law is continuing its support of a project which works with people who have dementia and their carers.

It’s the fourth year the St Thomas-based solicitors have supported the Budding Friends scheme, which is run by Age UK Exeter.

Safety barrier replacement planned on A380

Overnight closures on the Exeter-bound carriageway of the A380 Telegraph Hill will be needed for four evenings from Monday (10 December) to replace safety barriers.

A section of the barrier near Kenn was damaged in a collision last month. For the safety of motorists the whole length, of around 150 metres, will be removed and replaced with new barriers. More than 80 traffic collisions a year on Devon’s roads involve someone who has been drink driving.

More and more governing bodies are assessing the role and impact of vehicles in city centres, with many pushing for pedestrianisation.

In a recent poll , 52% of Bath Live readers voted in favour of the pedestrianisation of Bath city centre, in the aim to improve air quality. However, 30% were sceptical, worrying that limited access would have a negative impact on city centre trade.

WALKERS, hikers, climbers and families from Devon are being asked to come out in force to help clear litter and tidy-up at a popular beauty spot near Exeter next month (January 27, 2018).
