Safety barrier replacement planned on A380

Overnight closures on the Exeter-bound carriageway of the A380 Telegraph Hill will be needed for four evenings from Monday (10 December) to replace safety barriers.

A section of the barrier near Kenn was damaged in a collision last month. For the safety of motorists the whole length, of around 150 metres, will be removed and replaced with new barriers.

Both lanes of the Exeter-bound carriageway between the Texaco garage and Splatford Spilt will be closed from 6pm to 6am each evening from Monday 10 December through to the morning of Friday 14 December. The closures will only be overnight and both lanes will re-open by 6am each morning.

The work is weather dependent. It has been timed to be carried out overnight to minimise disruption and during the closures traffic will be diverted towards Exeter Racecourse to re-join the A38.
