Peninsula celebrates budding success of new venture

Peninsula Private Medical Services opened its doors to invited guests for the ‘official’ launch Waterloo Court Health and Wellbeing Hub near Uffculme.

With the service already up and running, and word spreading fast, the founders were keen to celebrate successes so far and have the opportunity to showcase the impressive capabilities to invited guests.

Lord Lieutenant of Devon Celebrates 50 Years at the Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital

Sir Eric Dancer KCVO CBE JP, the Lord Lieutenant of Devon, visited the Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital in Wonford Exeter on Friday 20 September to help celebrate the hospital’s 50th anniversary.

Sir Eric met members of staff and was given a tour of the hospital by Matron Paula Winter.

Allergy Conference aims to improve diagnosis and treatment

Across the globe, cases of allergy are significantly increasing. An estimated 21 million people in the UK now suffer from an allergy, with at least one in three people affected at some time in their lives. In Devon and Cornwall, that equates to around 600,000 people.

I do not enjoy exercise classes!! As a doctor I am well aware that I ought to exercise more and spend far too much time in front of a computer or TV.

I even belong to a large and famous gym which offers many kinds of classes. On the rare occasions that I have made myself try one of the classes I am bored after five minutes and find myself looking at the clock and waiting for it to finish.
