Food Drink Devon has announced it will be hosting its first food and drink industry summer party on Monday 17th June at Dartington Hall (6.30pm – 9.30pm). With fabulous local food, drink, entertainment, demonstrations and the chance to network and socialise with like-minded colleagues, tickets are already selling fast amongst members and non-members.

Having launched on Old Compton Street in late 2016, HIPCHIPS set out to reinvent the potato crisp by pairing hand-crafted crisps with a selection of fresh, sweet and savoury dips and successfully bringing an entirely new eating concept to London.

Fans of flavour submitted dozens of entries to this year’s sausage recipe competition run by The Butchers at Dart’s Farm, with the winning entrant of three shortlisted recipes announced at this year’s Exeter Food Festival earlier in May.

There was an air ambulance related winner this year, with Stuart Elms, Clinical Director at Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, taking the top spot.

Stuart’s ‘Love DAAT Banger’ recipe, comprising prime pork, thick-cut marmalade, and seasoned with cracked black pepper, was the unanimous winner of the public vote at the Exeter Food & Drink...

Recent research from the national body, Seafish, has uncovered that millennials eat 50% less fish than their grandparent’s generation. Are we surprised at this? Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare will be holding their Family Fun Day at Manor Gardens from 10am – 4pm with live entertainment and lots of fun activities. Camilla Tea to launch at Devon County Show

An Oolong tea from Taiwan with a distinctive clotted cream flavour and named in honour of the Duchess of Cornwall will be given its official launch at the Devon County Show in May.

Camilla is a new tea from the Oolong Tea Company, which is based in Torpoint’s Portwrinkle. The tea was sourced and created by the company’s founder, Eve Baker, and named after Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall in tribute to the Duchy’s work across the South West, as well as her ongoing support of Devon County Show - she was President back in 2008 and attended as a guest in 2013.

Chunk, a Devon based pie and pasty maker, have won the much-coveted award of Champion Pasty at the 2019 British Pies Awards for the second time.
