Julia is a thirteen year old girl who finds herself on a near-deserted beach in Singapore that is covered in plastic rubbish that washes in from the ocean on every tide.

Exeter Phoenix has revealed the recipients of the 2019 Film Commissions. Ideas for new short films were invited from filmmakers across the South West before the five final filmmakers were selected. Between them, the five successful filmmakers have been awarded a share of over £10,000 worth of support to turn these ideas into a reality.

Visitors to Devon County Show will be able to admire rare breed Mangalitza pig for the first time in the Show’s history.

Mango, a Mangalitza and her litter of nine piglets, will be located in the outdoor pig feature next to the pig showing rings for the duration of the show which takes place from 16-18 May.

Exeter musician Andrew Millington will be back performing with the city's oldest choir for a one-off performance at Exeter Northcott on June 1st.

This time around Andrew, who retired as the Choir's Musical Director in 2017, will be rejoining EPC on the piano rather than on the rostrum. He'll be accompanied by two other musicians who have greatly contributed to Exeter's musical life: David Davies, also on the piano, and Stephen Tanner on the harmonium.
