Internationally acclaimed chamber orchestra London Concertante will come to Exeter on Friday 27th June for a 7:30pm performance at the Cathedral .

Take That will make a brief appearance at Radio 1's Big Weekend at Powderham.

Gary Barlow made the announcement this morning on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show today.

The band will be joining Sigma on stage on main stage on the Saturday.

The two acts have collaborated on a new single.

Cry' sees Sigma meld Take That's vocals with some soaring synths and a gospel choir.

Countdown begins to Radio 1's Big Weekend

Ticket-holders for Radio 1's Big Weekend at Powderham Castle near Exeter have just six days left from today (Monday May 16) to book their transport in advance of the event.

Festival-goers have until May 21 to pre-book transport that’s been specially laid on for the event.

Park and rides, shuttle buses and drop-off/pick-up points have been arranged to get people safety to and from Powderham while ensuring minimum impact on residents and those who may be visiting the area to enjoy the long weekend in this part of Devon.

Exeter College Performing Arts students are bringing to life Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland in their own unique adaption of the much-loved classic.

The show is the culmination of two years hard work by Exeter College students studying a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts and consolidates all they have learnt with a final performance.

The week long programme sees them perform their own adaption, which has been written by the students themselves, of the children’s novel at The Barnfield Theatre from the 16th to the 22nd May.

World music premiere on Dartmoor

The world premiere of a new composition, inspired by Dartmoor and composed by Michael Alec Rose, will take place on Saturday 18 June at a Summer concert in Moretonhampstead.

Il Ritorno: A Perambulation for Unaccompanied Violin will be performed by internationally renowned violinist Peter Sheppard Skaerved on a 1629 Girolamo Amati violin (Amati’s son taught Stradivari the craft of violin making).
