Men’s Walk will return on Saturday 12 March to raise vital funds for Hospiscare. The popular fundraising event offers two ways to take part this year in order to raise vital funds for families living with a terminal illness. Participants can choose to walk a route of their choice in their local area or join the event at Double Locks in Exeter.

The British Heart Foundation shop in Exeter is urgently appealing for volunteers this New Year, as it gets back up and running, following the pandemic.

This January, the shop is encouraging the public to give the gift of time and get involved – whether that’s working the till, sorting donations or welcoming customers. The BHF has plenty of exciting volunteering roles available for those looking to support their local community, improve their wellbeing and widen their social network while supporting a good cause.

It’s the third year in a row that the Ottery St Mary garden centre has raised funds for Hospiscare, in what has turned out to be an epic success with the 2021 fundraising total topping £14,700!
