Cream Teas for Cancer – the perfect summer combination
FORCE Cancer Charity’s popular Cream Teas for Cancer event is back by popular demand this summer.
FORCE is once again hoping to make it bigger and better than ever.
On Thursday July 7 the team at FORCE and Cream Teas for Cancer partner The Exeter will be delivering delicious delights for supporters to devour.
Each cream tea is carefully packed and costs just £5.
For that you’ll receive two scrummy scones from Ryders Bakery, Westcountry clotted cream from Rodda’s Creamery, lip smackingly good jam from Waterhouse Fayre and a fine brew from Miles Tea and Coffee Merchants.
“What better way to celebrate the final week of Wimbledon than getting together with friends, family or colleagues to enjoy a classic Devon treat,” said FORCE Fundraising Development Officer Olly Watts.
“Cream Teas for Cancer is set for its biggest year yet in 2022.
“We anticipate a great response from both businesses and supporters, who already make this event their annual fundraiser for FORCE.
“And, of course, we would love to hear from anyone else keen to join us. Together we hope to raise more than £6,000.
“Every year this event plays a huge part in our community, bringing local businesses, friends and families together to enjoy a great Devon tradition whilst doing their bit to support a local charity.
“We are hugely grateful and delighted with the news that The Exeter will be our main sponsor for this event and we know they are very much looking forward to helping on the day.”
Now in its fifth year, Cream Teas for Cancer has raised more than £22,000, which has enabled FORCE to continue supporting patients and their loved ones as they come to terms with a cancer diagnosis.
This year we will be delivering throughout the day on July 7 in the Exeter, Honiton, Tiverton and Okehampton areas.
