This national awards event has been created to recognise the achievements of women in all sectors from across the UK.

From newer businesses and Corporate Leaders to the Employee of the Year, the awards comprise 21 categories and are open to all women that contribute to a business.

Within the total of 21 categories, award organisers Events & PR have added five new regional categories to this year's awards:

  • Southern England Business Woman of the Year
  • Northern England Business Woman of the Year
  • Scottish Business Woman of the Year
  • Northern Ireland Business Woman of the Year
  • Welsh Business Woman of the Year

These categories will honour inspiring and hardworking women in business from across the UK. No matter the industry, if you are based in the UK then you are eligible to enter.

Suzy Wood, Charity Ambassador for Railway Children says, "These awards really give an opportunity to recognise women in business, as there are some really powerful women out there, doing amazing things and these awards are really lending themselves to recognising that."

Awards Director, Damian Cummins added, "We want to hear from the amazing business women making a difference in the industry, which is why we have added our regional Business Women of the Year categories."

Further information on the criteria for Southern England Business Woman of the Year and other categories can be found at www.nationalbusinesswomensawards.co.uk. The awards final will take place at Wembley Stadium in London on Friday.
