Family law specialists are finalists in national awards

The Family Law Company is celebrating news that both the firm and one of its Directors have been named as finalists in the CILEx National Awards 2019.

Finalists were chosen from a list of shortlisted nominees, with just a handful of contenders remaining in each category.

The Family Law Company, a specialist law firm with offices in Exeter, Plymouth and Taunton is in the finals of the ‘Promoting Access to the Profession’ category. This recognises an organisation ‘whose innovative and diverse recruitment practices actively break down barriers to, and encourage increased interest in professional legal careers, regardless of an individual’s educational achievement or socio-economic background.’

Business Development Director, Rachel Buckley said: “It is an honour for the company to be in the running, as this is testament to every member of our team, all of whom have a part to play in our success.”

As well as the firm, Director Donna Hart is also through to the finals in the ‘Joyce Arram Memorial Award for Advancing the Legal Profession’ category, which celebrates CILEx members who promote access to the legal profession and inspire future generations of legal professionals.

Donna is delighted with the accolade. She said: “I am totally committed to the CILEx ethos, which is to encourage anyone, no matter what their background, to realise they can have a career in law.

“A big well done to everyone who was nominated and shortlisted.”

The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) is the professional association for 20,000 Chartered Legal Executive lawyers, paralegals and other legal practitioners in England and Wales. This is the only the second year for the awards, which were launched in 2018 to celebrate the exceptional talent, innovation and achievement of CILEx members, supporters and stakeholders.

The Family Law Company and Donna will find out whether they have been successful at the awards ceremony on September 5 at Madame Tussauds, London, with Claudia Winkleman hosting.
