Racing piglets are highlight of open day

RACING piglets were one of the highlights of the attractions on offer at a Devon farm’s open day.

Hundreds of people attended Kenniford Farm, near Exeter, as part of Open Farm Sunday this weekend.

As well as the piglets, there was live music from La Vie en Rose, farm tours, stalls, and local food and drink.

Andrew Freemantle, who owns the farm, said: ‘Open Farm Sunday is a great opportunity for us to open our gates to the public and show them what we do. It is about showing people where their food comes from and how seriously we take the production of good quality meat.

‘It was fantastic to see people of all ages learning about the production process on the farm and also enjoying all the entertainment we had laid on.’
