Did you witness hate crime incident in Exeter?

Police are investigating a racially aggravated public order offence where a customer became abusive towards staff at an Exeter delicatessen

Officers were called to the incident at Chandos Deli in Princesshay on Saturday[17 June] between 12.30pm and 1pm.

A 55-year-old man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen or heard the incident to contact police on 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting crime reference CR/048123/17
