Appeal after strimmer stolen in Exmouth

Police in Exmouth are appealing for information after power a petrol strimmer worth around £200 was stolen from behind a van in the Littleham area of Exmouth.

The offence took place in the Louisa Terrace area of Littleham, Exmouth at around 12.30pm on Wednesday 14 June.

PC Ian Schofield said: “At the time, a contract gardener was packing his gear into his van when the Stihl FS 55 two-stroke petrol strimmer was stolen. He had left the strimmer outside the back of his van when an unknown young man walked up to the van, took the strimmer and then ran to another van and drove off.

“The man was described as white, wearing dark skinny trousers and not wearing a top.

“The van the offender made off in was reported as a white Renault Trafic van with ladders on top.”
