Brexit continues to dominate the news headlines here in Britain and is unlikely to stop doing so any time soon. Negotiations are ongoing and there’s no guarantee that a deal will even be reached before the deadline of March 2019. Overall, Exeter voted “remain” back in 2016 – but no matter how you voted, it’s easy to admit that all aspects of British life could in theory be affected by Brexit. For example, a visa process for British citizens visiting European countries for holidays or for work could be introduced, and imports and exports from and to EU countries might also be affected....

Chiefs throw away a 14 point lead in Heineken Champions Cup clash

The start was fantastic, the middle more of a mixed bag, whilst the end was ultimately disappointing.

Exeter’s hopes of advancing in this season’s Heineken Champions Cup hang in the balance after they slipped to defeat against Castres.

This loss, coupled with last week’s home draw against Munster, mean Rob Baxter’s side currently sit bottom of Pool Two and facing an uphill struggle if they are to stand any chance of progression.

Devon’s finest will need to win at least three, if not all four of their remaining fixtures, to give themselves any hope of reaching the...

Chiefs side to face Castres

Rob Baxter insists the way his side finished last week’s Heineken Champions Cup opener against Munster must now be the starting point for his players ahead of tomorrow’s Round Two clash with Castres (2pm). With little to choose between the Chiefs and Munster in horrendous conditions at Sandy Park, it was the current Gallagher Premiership leaders who were pressing hard in the dying minutes. Up against a gale force wind, Baxter’s side came within a whisker of claiming all four points against the Irish province. Sadly, a knock-on in the last action of the game ended their hopes of a famous...
