New data shows Amazon’s £150 million commitment to Devon

New figures released today show that Amazon has invested £150 million in Devon since 2010. The figures, taken from the latest Amazon Economic Impact Report, document Amazon’s investment in the South West and across the UK over the last 15 years.

An innovation designed in Exeter to detect contaminated water and save lives has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

FluoroGlow’s device is designed to detect Cryptosporidium in water – a parasite that can cause severe illness and even death, especially in children and vulnerable people.

Previously, it has been difficult to detect without slow laboratory-based tests. But FluoroGlow aims to change that by providing rapid and reliable results directly at the water source.

The head of Lynmouth Holiday Retreat near Exmoor has called on MPs attending this week's Labour party conference to "urgently reconsider" proposed inheritance tax changes.
