Local businesswoman takes over Complete Estate Agency as four Devon branches remain

Local businesswoman Sara Watkins-Schmidt has taken over Complete Estate Agency, with all four of its Devon branches and its existing 23-strong team remaining in place.

The established estate and lettings agency operates from Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot, Teignmouth and Exeter (Cranbrook), with all four locations continuing to trade under the Complete Estate Agency name following the acquisition.

The deal includes Complete’s portfolio of 375 managed rental properties, alongside its residential sales operation and established presence within the local new-build market....

Councils meet to discuss future of Port Royal

Since the beginning of the year, informal discussions have been held between Sidmouth Town Council (STC) and East Devon District Council (EDDC) on carrying out a scoping exercise as the first stage in the process of development and renewal of Sidmouth’s Port Royal and Eastern Town. Exeter Community Energy awarded £20,000 for low carbon project

Exeter Community Energy has been awarded £19,660 to repeat its success with community-owned solar energy by delivering a renewable heat project in Devon.

The money will be used to replicate the handfull of other community heat projects in the country; will be the first in the south west; and possibly the last Urban Community Energy Fund opportunity as a result of the government’s changing priorities.

Men bailed following drugs raid in Exeter

Police have arrested three men after executing two warrants in Exeter.

At around 5.30pm on Thursday 7th July local officers, assisted by the force’s specialist support group, executed two simultaneous warrants at two flats in Kinnerton Way, Exeter.

The warrants were executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act and followed earlier information received.

The three men arrested are all from Exeter and were all arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. Two of the men are aged 20 while the third is aged 19. All three have been released on police...

Man charged after cannabis seized in Axminster

A man has been charged following a substantial cannabis seizure in Axminster.

Officers were called to the former Axe Vale Social Club in Chard Street after reports of a strong smell of cannabis in the area.

Officers attended the address at around 7.30am on Thursday 7th July and arrested a man on suspicion of production of class B cannabis.

Erion Bardhi, age 27, of no fixed abode was later charged with the offence and was due to appear at Exeter Magistrates Court on Saturday 9th July.
