The Lord Mayor of Exeter, Cynthia Thompson, came to view the ‘Route 25’ JCB today (Monday 11th) at Princesshay Exeter.

This specially decorated JCB is visiting 25 towns and cities across the South West to help celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), and is encouraging donations from the public following its theme: ‘Change for Life, Note the Difference’.

The Route 25 concept was the creation of Keith Darch, Director of Denbow International Limited based in Clyst Honiton.

Keith, in a previous role with Caterpillar, helped raise significant funds for the original appeal to build the first children’s hospice in the South West: CHSW’s Little Bridge House in Barnstaple.

In support of the charity’s 25th Anniversary year, Route 25 was launched on April 25th as a unique fundraising drive and is travelling all across the South West region until September.

The JCB will be in the shopping centre until Saturday 16 July.
