Devon-based Sandford Orchards is celebrating a fantastic year of awards for its new non-alcoholic cider, Red Zero. Following 2017's record-breaking year, entries are now open for the prestigious Food & Drink Devon Awards 2018. Coffee fans visiting the Rusty Pig in Ottery St Mary can now enjoy a specially roasted coffee courtesy of Exeter artisan micro-roaster, Crankhouse Coffee.

Rusty Pig ‘El Salvador’ coffee has been created by Dave Stanton to appeal to restaurant owner Robin Rea’s preference for a darker roast and fits in with the restaurant’s ethos for seasonality.

Rusty Pig favours Branscombe poultry farm for chicken feast dining

The key ingredients of Rusty Pig’s recent Rusty Chicken feast were sourced from a high welfare organic poultry farm in Branscombe.

Jams made in the restaurant at Otter Garden Centres in Ottery St Mary scooped two golds at this year’s Food & Drink Devon Awards.

The company’s strawberry and raspberry jams were placed gold in the Producers Awards, which this year recognised food and drink products from 29 Devon producers as worthy of this level.
