Flock Together will present a documentary series of paintings, drawings, prints and a video installation exploring sheep farming in the Blackdown Hills (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

Through innovative use of technology, including webcams and GPS, the artists capture and reinterpret the close working relationship between a farmer, his sheep and his dogs. Sara and Debbie's resulting artworks combine hand made gestural marks with the marks generated by drawing machines.

R&B Music Festival

Carnival Fun Day

Exmouth Carnival will be holding their annual Carnival Fun Day on Saturday 11th October in The Strand, Exmouth between 9.00am and 5.00pm.

Old Maynardian, Diana Swayne took a trip down memory lane this week to visit the school she attended in the 1930s.

The sprightly centenarian from Crediton, who will celebrate her 100th birthday on 29 October, dropped in for tea and cake with the Headmistress and took the time to meet other members of staff and the Head Girl.

Community fund reopens for nominations

RGB Building Supplies’ Well Built Community Fund aims to help a number of community groups to complete projects that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to do by giving away £1,000 worth of building materials every other month.

Ben Moon says he can feel a mood change with the Exeter Chiefs camp as the start of the new Aviva Premiership season draws ever closer.

Rob Baxter’s side wrap up their pre-season campaign this weekend with the final instalment of this year’s Westcountry Challenge Cup – a competition the Devon club have already secured with a game to spare.
