The National Apprenticeship Service has launched a raft of new measures designed to help guide employers through the process of recruiting an apprentice. This follows yesterday’s announcement of the extension of the £1,500 Apprenticeship Grant for Employers of 16-24 year olds for another year. Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision between a car and cyclist in Exeter on Sunday 28 July. The collision happened at around 7.40pm on Topsham Road, at the junction with Higher Wear Road. Police believe the silver Ford Fiesta was travelling along Topsham Road from Topsham, heading towards Countess Wear, when the cyclist emerged from the nearside before being struck by the car.
