NHS urges people to do their bit as Covid patients increase

The number of patients in Devon’s hospitals with Covid-19 has risen substantially over the last month. Around 250 people in hospital have tested positive for the virus, roughly five times the number in early September.

Higher covid rates add to the pressures that already exist in the local health and care system. People across Devon are being urged to support the NHS by helping to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 and flu viruses.

Many of the gates and barriers found on Devon’s shared cycle and walking routes will be removed to help ensure that those with disabilities and mobility problems can access them more easily.

Devon’s popular National Cycle Network is one of the most spectacular in the country – almost 150miles in length, the route takes you through picturesque communities, over moorlands, along coastlines and canals and through woodland.

A GROUP of restaurants that has recently expanded into producing ‘ready to steam’ at home meals has picked a Devon-based printed packaging specialist to help produce its packaging (October 2022).

Scheme launched to improve maths skills for Devon adults

A new support programme is being launched to help adults in Devon to improve their maths skills.

Devon Multiply, which is funded by the UK Government and managed by Devon County Council, is inviting innovative proposals to deliver numeracy skills training among adults in Devon, particularly to those who are harder to reach.
