Deceased Exeter baby's foot and hand prints stolen

Police were called just after 2pm on Sunday 22nd May after items of huge sentimental importance were stolen from a white Honda Estate which was parked near the commercial boat builders on Water Lane, Alphington, Exeter.

Sergeant Colin Harper, Exeter Neighbourhood Team Leader, said: "This is a particularly cruel crime, as the items stolen are of huge sentimental importance.

Another success for Exeter’s Really Big Quiz

Exeter’s 13th annual Really Big Quiz was once again an outstanding evening raising an impressive £6,411 for the Lord Mayor of Exeter’s charity, The Exeter Foundation.

Organised by chartered accountancy firm Simpkins Edwards, the quiz took place at the Corn Exchange in Exeter. The hall was filled with 73 teams representing local firms, all eager to win the title of Exeter’s brainiest business.

Wild West Real Ale & Cider Festival

Beef farming and Devon’s beef industry could be under threat if the UK left the European Union, Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss warned today.

93 per cent of all our beef exports went to the EU in 2015 and so beef farmers could lose millions of pounds of business if they lost access to the vital EU single market.
