Oak trees have been planted in memory of two former long-standing Exeter City Councillors. David Morrish and his wife Joan Morrish, who between them dedicated 80 years of political service to Exeter and Devon, died earlier this year. David was 86 years old and Joan 91. One of Exeter’s biggest law firms has swapped law for litter picking, joining forces with Plastic Free Exeter to pick up litter along Exeter’s Quay. Eleven volunteers from Stephens Scown LLP spent two hours collecting litter from Exeter’s Quay on Thursday, 22 November. The group collected six bags of litter, which included lots of single use plastics as well as two deck chairs. Rainbow Living is very excited to announce the charity has been selected by Exeter Golf and Country Club as the Golf Captains’ Charity of the Year for 2018/19.
Over the next 12 months Exeter Golf and Country Club is aiming to raise £10,000 for Rainbow Living, which is a local volunteer-run charity providing accommodation for adults with learning and other disability.
