The Council’s Executive yesterday resolved to support a project exploring a heat network which could provide power for up to 2,000 new homes and businesses while helping to stabilise energy costs and reduce carbon emissions.

This morning, 31 July, a large group of police officers were deployed to the St Thomas area of Exeter to continue the search for missing Exeter pensioner Alma Royle, aged 83. Police were tasked with carrying out an extended search of the area 1km from where she went missing in Heron Way, St Thomas. They are set to continue for the remainder of the day, with members of the Dartmoor Rescue Group continuing to assist with evening searches.
