Calling all budding Andy Murrays and Laura Robsons

As usual, Exeter City's summer holiday football courses are proving very popular, but as part of the club's plans to increase its multisport offering, the Football in the Community coaches have been on two tennis delivery courses run by the LTA.

The club has announced two dates for a tennis camp at Cowick Barton Playing Fields' tennis courts in Exeter, on Wednesday 14 August and Tuesday 27 August. The event, which is suitable for 7-14 year olds, will run for three hours from 12-3pm and will cost £10 per day.

24-year-old female cyclist dies after colliding with a house in Branscombe

Update 6 August: The female cyclist has now been named as Rebecca Scott, aged 24 and from the Exeter area.

5 August: A 24-year-old woman from Exeter has died after sustaining serious injuries when her bike collided with a house in the centre of Branscombe. The incident occured at around 2.15pm on Saturday 3 August 2013, when she was descending a hill into the centre of Branscombe from the Beer direction when she collided with a house. The woman died at the scene from her injuries.

The woman's next of kin have been notified. Further updates to follow.

Exeter Company attracts the support of the Asian Arts Agency

Local company Interwoven Productions are thrilled to announce that they have attracted the co-producing partnership of the Asian Arts Agency for their new show Antara .

Antara is a dance/spoken word collaboration featuring International dance artist Ajeesh K Balakrishnan, who has created the choreography with local talent, Kay Crook.

The project has provided a wonderful opportunity to explore powerful Vedic themes in the context of modern urban Britain. It benefits greatly from the pulsing, lyrical spoken word of urban poet Steven Duncan.

Fitness First launches the gym equipment of tomorrow

Members of the public in Exeter who thought solar panels were only used to generate renewable electricity on houses and in fields have been stunned over the past few weeks to see a High tech ‘solar van’ – emblazoned with PV panels – at various locations around the city.
