With the August bank holiday drawing ever closer, NFU Mutual is urging dog owners to follow the Countryside Code and keep their pets under control whilst walking in the countryside near livestock and horses. According to a recent report by Farmers’ Guardian, dog attacks on livestock increased from 691 in 2011 to 739 in 2012. Sheep were involved in most cases, with many being attacked, injured or killed. Kenneth Clark’s ‘official’ war art was exhibited in the National Gallery with a classical ‘painting of the month’. His Recording Britain displayed tranquil landscapes, some in Devon. Large audiences also saw many independent exhibitions nationwide, providing inspiration in the dark days of war.

Mr Major has been jailed for acting in contravention to a ban on running a company and owing creditors a total of £126,000.

A 17-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital after the car he was travelling rolled on the M5 southbound near Cullompton.
The collision happened just before 11am today (Monday 19 August) about one mile past Junction 28.

Help for Heroes is set to benefit from £2,456 raised by local legal firm Stephens Scown following fundraising over the last 12 months.
Fundraising events included cake bake sales, dress down days, quiz nights and a Wimbledon themed night.
