Today (Friday 13 September 2013) marks the 10th anniversary, to the day, of the Supporters' Trust purchasing the majority shareholding of Exeter City FC .

Ten years ago today Dr David Treharne and Martin Ellicott, on behalf of the relatively newly formed Supporters' Trust stepped out of Ivor Doble’s jewellery shop pinching themselves that they had just bought their football club!

Get ready for the 2013 Tour of Britain - a spectators' guide

Spectators have 85 miles (137km) of Devon’s roads to choose from when it comes to being part of the 10th anniversary Tour of Britain in the county on Friday 20 September.

Devon County Council will host Stage Six of The Tour, starting in Sidmouth and finishing at Haytor, in Dartmoor National Park.

The Antiques Roadshow has come to Exeter.

The BBC television show, now into its 36th series, will see some of the UK’s top experts in antiques and fine arts offering free valuations to anyone who attends. By 9am the queue was already several hundred strong with people and antiques stretching around Exeter Cathedral Green. Exeter’s business brains and taste buds will be tested at a brand new Big Biz Quiz launching at Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel on Thursday 26 September at 6pm. Featuring a special wine tasting section as well as quiz questions, the Biz Quiz is open to teams from the business community.

Devon County Council is calling on Exeter to use a car club to cut down on congestion and travel costs. Through LSTF (local sustainable transport funding) the county council is supporting Exeter-based company Co-Cars to buy more vehicles and raise the number of users. By joining the car club residents can book a car when needed without the cost of keeping one on the road full time. Cars are parked in a designated bay and can be unlocked through a smart card.
