Jane Mason’s work explores ways in which the movements of bodies and objects in space can create ‘image worlds’ of great affective resonance and tenderness.

The initial trigger for Life Forces came from her father’s old slide projector and his archive of slides.

Joined by writer/performer Phil Smith, Life Forces offers a meditation on memory’s place in the face of uncertain futures, and on transformation and change as the core ground of being, the ‘life force’ that links everything and everyone.

Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five fomented the musical revolution known as hip-hop. Theirs was a pioneering union between one DJ and five rapping MCs. Grandmaster Flash not only devised various techniques but also designed turntable and mixing equipment. Formed in the South Bronx, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five were one of the first rap posses, responsible for such masterpieces as ‘The Message’, ‘Grandmaster Flash on the Wheels of Steel’, and ‘White Lines’.

The Pictish Trail is the nom de plume of Johnny Lynch, a Scottish musician who spent some time running Fence Records alongside Kenny Anderson (King Creosote). His music is a sonorous mixture of acoustic-driven balladry and lo-fi synthesised pop, that has been described as ‘a post-summer trove of sun-warped electro, anamorphic folk’ (Plan B Magazine).

Fish - Moveable Feast UK tour

Fish, the critically acclaimed progressive rock singer/songwriter, and former lead singer of Marillion, brings his extensive 13-date tour to Exeter.

Billed as The Moveable Feast Tour this nationwide trek is named after his new album A Feast Of Consequences. Fish will perform songs from the new album, as well as his solo album tracks, including early Marillion classics.
