Have you ever been at an Exeter Chiefs match and wondered why the referee has made a particular call? Or are you someone who would like to watch more rugby, but are unsure on some of the rules?

Whether you’re a regular Chiefs’ spectator and want to brush up, or completely new to Rugby and want to learn the basics, at Rugby For Dummies Exeter Chiefs’ Head Coach Rob Baxter will take you through the rules and explain some of the decisions that affect matches at Sandy Park, with added insight into how the Chiefs’ train to work around them.

Join us for outdoor adventure and campcraft at our Urban Forest School, right here in the city. Our Forest School runs on Tuesday 11th and Thursday 13th August.

If you make all 4 sessions you will be awarded our Camp Craft Expert badge! Meet at the Cathedral entrance (next to the welcome desk) 10 minutes before the start time.

Tuesday 11th August, 10.00-12.00: Tools

Learn how to use a bow saw and a hand drill safely. Make ‘wood cookies’ to decorate, hang or spin. Our session finishes with a campfire gathering of hot chocolate, snacks and a campfire song.

Devon County Council is proposing to move the town’s children’s centre into the nearby library on Belle Parade in order to save money and improve the services on offer.

See his beautiful owls in the flesh/feather, as he tells you how to care for these magnificent creatures. Become an owl yourself by choosing a design from our face painting artist. Or you can get creative and make your own owls out of felt or paint a pet.

We also have our badge making machine which you can use to create an owl badge.

Out of Order opens in Sidmouth

Weekly rep continues at the Manor Pavilion Theatre in Sidmouth this week with the arrival of the sixth production, Out of Order by Ray Cooney.
