Sprinting up and down a blindingly dazzling court, whilst sweat pours off you like a waterfall. Surely this can’t be branded as ‘fun?’

The reality is, that Basketball, despite its flaws, is one of the most enjoyable activities to partake in. The reasons why are endless, but I have narrowed them down to the most prominent.

5. The Costs The expenses within basketball in Exeter are significantly low. To be a part of the Exeter & District Basketball Association, it is only £15 for senior players and has recently been reduced to £5 for junior players.

Clyst Honiton to get 'wonder wall'

Clyst Honiton Parish Council and East Devon District Council have worked together to get the brand new sports activity wall that Clyst Honiton residents wanted.

The £3,450 sports 'wonder wall' is due to be installed on Clyst Honiton recreation field shortly and will be open and ready for use at Clyst Honiton Fete on Saturday 16 May. It will be free to use and will have markings and a goal for sports such as five-a-side football, basketball / netball and cricket.

Consultants hand-over final phase of paignton academy sports hub

Local construction consultants, Haldons Limited, hand-over Phase 2 of the Multi Sports Hub, at Paignton Community and Sports Academy (PCSA). The £150,000 project for a new spectators seating area, which received lottery funding from Sport England, was overseen by Haldons and constructed by SML Contracts. The new spectator’s area is the final phase of the original £1.6m sports arena completed in 2010, which was also funded by Sport England.
