City architects, Living Space, are celebrating planning success, today, thanks to a winning application to convert office space back into residential dwellings more than 200 years after they were built.

The terrace of three Georgian townhouses, 38­-40 Southernhay were constructed around the time of the old Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital but have, like much of the tree lined square, been used as commercial space for decades. Exeter city centre office damaged by fire

Fire crews attended a blaze at an office in Southernhay West last night (Monday 1 June).

One appliance from Middlemoor and an appliance from Danes castle, along with the aerial platform also from Danes Castle, were mobilised to the city centre fire at around 9.30pm.

The officer in charge confirmed that there was a fire in the building involving a paper shredder.

Treasure hunt brings riches for ELF

A treasure hunt around Southernhay, organised by the Exeter office of property consultancy JLL, has raised £380 for Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) - a local charity that supports people affected by leukaemia, lymphoma and other blood conditions.
