Rainbow Living is very excited to announce that the charity will be moving forward with another Rainbow House in Exeter.

Following a major strategic review, which included assessing local need, consultation and market review, Rainbow Living has decided to expand its services within the Exeter area.

Over the last 10 years, Rainbow Living has enjoyed success with its unique housing model, which enables adults with learning and other disability to live with their peers in specially adapted accommodation, designed to promote and encourage independent supported living.

Exeter choir and sing for fun

There are many fine choirs in the Exeter area and some of our regulars are also members of the Exeter choirs.

Forever Young Sing for Fun - we are not a choir - started eleven years ago and continues most Monday evenings at St Sidwell's School, York Road, Exeter EX4 6PG. We don't have sessions in August and start again Monday 4th September. Two hours of fun, 7pm-9pm, £3.50 on the door.

People don't often talk about the downside of singing but a few years ago Chris Rowbury wrote something about it in his blog. We know about the health and social benefits but, apart from...

Sing for Fun Exeter is not a choir!

Early in 2007, the new St Sidwell's School, York Road, Exeter opened its doors and Forever Young were the first community group to use the new hall.

The days are now over when singers used to gather around a TV and read lyrics from the screen. Now, many people who come along also sing with formal choirs but like the informal Sing for Fun sessions. Meeting on a Monday, 7-9pm, singers choose from over 600 backing tracks and then sing around 30 songs as the words are projected on the wall.

There are no auditions, rehearsals or public concerts - just singing for fun. Comments...

Early in 2007, the new St Sidwell's School, York Road, Exeter opened its doors and Forever Young were the first community group to use the new hall.

Ten years later, the school's new Acting Headteacher, Mr Tom Page, welcomed Forever Young as they began another singing evening.

Bring colour and life back to Mondays

What happenend in 1966?

No, not the Battle of Hastings ... or winning the Worldcup ... but the Mamas and Papas first sang ... Every other day of the week is fine, yeah, but whenever Monday comes, you can find me crying all of the time ... Not a sentiment I share although a cracking song to sing. Infact a number of songs feature Monday, often as a day of melancholy. For example, Rainy Days and Mondays (1971) from the Carpenters, I Don't Like Mondays (1979) from the Boomtown Rats, and Manic Monday (1986) from the Bangles. So it was a relief when one band called themselves The...
