UK schools strive for EU links

The number of UK schools with international links has gone downhill since Brexit kicked in and the UK government’s decision to opt out of the Erasmus+ study scheme.

Redhills Primary school from Exeter back in early 2014 led by Mr Stuart Busby (headteacher of the school in those days) set up a pioneering link with Mr Enrique Ruiz Cano’s old school in Lorca, Spain and a school in Riga, Latvia so as to get an innovative project off the ground.

Survey reveals people's views on international students

In relation to the UK government’s immigration policy, only 26% of adults in the South West think of international students as immigrants. The findings were revealed in a new poll conducted by ComRes for Universities UK. Exeter medicine students visit Cuba for insight into international health delivery

Medicine students at the University of Exeter Medical School have travelled to Cuba to get an insight into how the country delivers high quality healthcare on a tight budget.

The Year 3 students, based at the Medical School’s Exeter and Truro campuses, travelled to the Caribbean island to discover how the Communist country’s health outcomes are among the best in the world, despite operating on a much lower budget. International appeal to trace missing Exeter girl

Devon and Cornwall Police along with local authorities have launched an appeal to help them locate a missing 12-year-old Devon girl who’s been taken to Bangkok by her father.

A High Court Judge has ordered the release of details of Arisara Miles, who is known as ‘Zara’, who travelled to Thailand with her father without permission.

Zara and her father, Trevor Miles, left their home in Exeter and flew to Bangkok on November 10 last year. Her whereabouts since then are not known.
