No, it’s an otter! Olly the Otter, the world’s newest superhero, is one of the attractions at Living Coasts this half term. 2016 is the year of Super Sea Heroes at Torquay’s coastal zoo. Staff and visitors will be celebrating with a variety of activities that include crafts, talks and a superhero trail. Children will be able to create their own superhero mask, design their own Super Sea Hero and follow the Super Sea Heroes Trail if they pick up a trail sheet from the main entrance. Half term family fun at Exeter Cathedral

The Education Department at Exeter Cathedral is gearing up for another busy school holiday, with plenty of half-term fun lined up for next week (Monday 15th February).

New for 2016 are special family-friendly tours of the Cathedral which will give children and adults alike an insight into howExeter’s best-loved landmark was built and some of the stories from its long history. Come and take part in our Tudor crafts! Make a Tudor Rose collage, a gruesome be-headable puppet, or become a Tudor character by creating a portrait and making your own ruff.

Plus try on our costumes and have a go at writing with a quill! £1 per craft.

New garden trail launched at Knightshayes

Families can travel all around the world this half-term at Knightshayes, following in the footsteps of intrepid Victorian plant hunters. With the launch of a brand new family trail, they can discover amazing trees, shrubs and flowers from all corners of the globe.

The Knightshayes garden passport trail takes families all around the beautiful woodland garden. From Chile to Australia and Taiwan to North America, explorers will have to find the passport stamp on each tree and add it to their own Knightshayes passport which they can collect visitor reception.

Half-term fun at The Donkey Sanctuary

This February half term there’s plenty of fun and adventure to keep the whole family entertained at The Donkey Sanctuary, including daily grooming and face painting activities from the 13-21 February

Open from 9am to dusk every day. An array of family-friendly activities will be on offer. In addition to exciting activities, there are rescued donkeys to meet and visitors can, explore the Maze, or take a walk through the beautiful woods and amazing scenery.
