Devon’s Top Attractions are getting ready for a Spooktacular half term of fun and Halloween happenings and will be offering the very best selection of scary fun and spooky surprises.

A spell will be cast across the county this October Half Term with many ‘trick or treats’ on offer. From bats to broomsticks, pumpkins to parties, it’s all going on! There will be lots of low key Halloween and pumpkin fun for the preschoolers and younger ones and lots of spine-chilling frightful fun for the older children.

Exeter Phoenix’s half term events are full of wonder with theatre, films and courses to keep children, and those who are young at heart, inspired and engaged while school is out. Family theatre show Your Toys, from Slot Machine Theatre company, invites its young audience to bring their own toys to life. Using a unique style of puppetry, original live music and quirky humour, the show is literally made by the audience’s toys. Friday 27th October in the Cathedral, 11.00-14.00 Join us inside the Cathedral and visit the Craft Table. We have something for everyone to have a go at today. Some crafts are free; others are £1 or £2. Make a magic mirror or a bespoke badge to take home, try a bendy knight or a fluffy belfry bat. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for all ages, just drop in, crafts up to £2 each.

Admission to the Cathedral is FREE for children under 18 as part of a family group.

This half-term there are lots of family events on at Castle Drogo including crafty castle capers, a bird detective trail and meet the builder’s day. On Saturday 3 June from 11am-4pm Castle Drogo will be giving visitors the chance to get hands on and learn more about the ongoing building work to make the castle water tight.

Climb aboard Crealy’s new giddy galleon this May Half Term

Guests to Crealy Adventure Park & Resort this May Half Term are in for a treat, as they’ll be amongst the first to climb aboard the brand new giddy galleon with Captain Crealy and his shipmates!
