New Mud Fun Run launched in Dartington for families

Thrill-seeking families are invited to get muddy for a good cause at a brand-new event at The Shops at Dartington during their May Food Fair on Sunday 27 May.

The Mud Larks Fun Run will consist of a 3km course, run twice by those feeling truly mighty, and includes a 500-foot zipline, 40-foot abseil, running through mud, navigating tyres, taking part in a dry kayak hill climb and there’s even archery thrown in too.

All profits from the Fun Run will go to Unity in Sport, a Plymouth based organisation that encourages children of all abilities to get involved in sport. The run...

More than 100 jobs have been announced at the Devon-based resort ahead of its Recruitment Weekend on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 February, including the opportunity to become a Rides and Attractions Operator. The s acting as an ambassador for the park, working on the rides to ensure health and safety standards are maintained, and ensuring guests are given the highest level of service throughout the day.

Many opportunities to learn about birds with the Countryside team this year

Throughout the coming year, there are a number of events taking place at Seaton Wetlands to help you learn more about birds.

Events taking place at Seaton Wetlands in January include ‘What’s that bird?’ and bird ringing demonstrations.

A Christmas experience like no other!

This month sees Boo to a Goose Theatre return to Devon Libraries for the second time this year, with their fantastically festive children’s show ‘Christmas Past and Present’.

Interactive and engaging from start to finish, the audience are greeted on arrival with the scent of gingerbread and spices, evoking the spirit of the season.

Such multi-sensory experiences are a trademark ingredient of Boo To A Goose Theatre’s shows, and were made all the merrier by the accompanying BSL signing from Catherine Hall.

There is plenty of interactivity between cast and children....

A project is underway at Knightshayes as part of an effort to create an archive of recorded memories from people who met and knew Joyce, Lady Heathcoat Amory. The team at Knightshayes are on a hunt to find anyone who might have known Joyce, visited her, met her, played golf with her or have any memories they’d like to share. The project will run alongside a larger project next year to celebrate Joyce and share stories about her life.
