An expert in medical education has been awarded the prestigious President’s International Medal.
Adrian Freeman, Professor of Medical Education at the University of Exeter Medical School, said winning the accolade was a “real honour”.

This year’s Lord's Taverners Christmas lunch proved to be another success with 600 business people attending the event at Sandy Park on 6th December.
The fundraising lunch began with a drinks reception, delicious festive meal and the chance to bid in the charity auction. A project to help re-engage students with education has been boosted thanks to a generous donation from an Exeter Deaf Academy supporter.
Exeter Deaf Academy’s Hub supports students who may find it difficult to engage with education in a traditional classroom setting. The Academy’s Positive Engagement Team, who run The Hub, follow a methodology which is centred around giving more quality time and 1:1 support combined with positive reinforcement to promote a want to learn and enable a student back into the classroom.
