Stagecoach South West is helping to support the Royal British Legion's 2013 Poppy Appeal which honours and remembers service personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The local transport operator is providing poppies for all their staff that choose to wear them with a donation made to the Royal British Legion. It has also donated advertising space inside its buses to help promote the appeal.

A piece of art that spent the summer in Exeter is expected to be one of the stars of a charity auction tomorrow (Wednesday 6 November.)
The life-size three-dimensional silverback gorilla is painted in the colours and patterns of a range of other animals.
The gorilla, named Miss Prints, has bird wings down the shoulders and forearms, one back leg seems to have come from a zebra while snakeskin, reptile scales and giraffe pelt also feature.

On 8 April 1944 a Lancaster from No 1 Finishing School RAF Hemswell piloted by ATA 2nd Officer Taniya Whittall crashed at Caistor in Lincolnshire killing all the occupants.
One of those on board was AC1 Alfred Spiller. He was subsequently returned home and buried in Exeter Higher Cemetery, Heavitree, Exeter
I am currently researching this crash and would like to make contact with any relatives of Mr Spiller.

The Sheldon Singers will perform Howard Goodall's Eternal Light, followed, after an interval for refreshments, by a performance by the Taunton-based Collegium Singers of For the Fallen, a requiem written by Peter Leech, the MD of the Collegium Singers, and dedicated to 40 Commando Royal Marines.
No entrance fee will be charged at either venue but the audience will be encouraged to donate generously to the work of the Royal British Legion.
On Remembrance Sunday Christine Trigger, assisted by Michael Parrott, will lead a tour of the Higher Cemetery war graves.
This event is organised by Friends of Higher Cemetery.
The walk will commence at 2pm near the Higher Cemetery chapel. There is no charge for this event but any donations will be forwarded to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
