Launching ticket sales to his new show ICE, Robin met shoppers, ice show enthusiasts and business leaders, answering their questions on his new venture, an exciting new ice show touring the UK from January – March 2014. St Petrock's shortlisted for Guardian Charity Awards

The Guardian Charity Awards 2013 shortlist, announced today, has St Petrock’s, Exeter’s charity for people who are homeless, among its list of successful charities. Five of these charities will find out in October whether they will share the £25,000 prize money and other prizes.

Exeter and Sandy Park are celebrating the two-year countdown to the start of Rugby World Cup 2015, by placing rugby posts right in the heart of the city.

50+ Show success leads to new West Country edition

The rapidly-growing 50+ Show, which is already held each year in London, Manchester and Glasgow and will be held for the first time in Birmingham this 2013, is about to take place for the first time in Exeter in 2014. The 50+ Show is the largest exhibition in the UK specifically for the active over 50s.

Council sets out vision for coordinated and strategic library provision in Exeter

Councillors will hear Devon County Council’s vision for Exeter’s libraries next week in a report to the Exeter Board.

The County Council has been reviewing library provision in the city to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach to the city’s network of four libraries, Central, St Thomas, Pinhoe and Topsham.

120 guests attended the opening night and exclusive awards ceremony of The Exeter Contemporary Open, now in its eighth year and held at the Exeter Phoenix.

Sponsored by Chartered Accountants Haines Watts, the exhibition provides an important national platform for contemporary visual artists and is open to the public from 13 September – 2 November 2013.
