Ed Miliband in Exeter: Government must 'cough up' resilience money

Labour leader Ed Miliband visited Exeter today to see the proposed site of resilience work at Cowley Bridge Junction.

The site was badly affected by floods in the winter storms of 2012/13 causing the main rail line into the South West to close for a several weeks.

Following the line closures, last year, the government promised to spend over £31 million on projects to improve the resilience of the South West’s rail network most of the money promised was never delivered and work never took place.

Peco Loco Week at Pecorama, Beer

Every Tuesday between the 29 July and 26 August there is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn about building kits from the well-known modelling experts Gordon and Maggie Gravett.

Gordon, famous for his French metre gauge 'Pempoul' model railway, will show you the best ways to place your buildings in realistic scenes.

NOTE: A nominal £1.00 charge will be made for all kits.

RHS Garden Rosemoor will be bursting with blooms this March when it hosts its first Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Spring Flower Show and competition, on 15–16 March.
