Prize-winning invention could reduce emissions

Students from the University of Exeter are celebrating after winning a national competition with their innovative system which could reduce the headache of searching for a parking space, and help reduce vehicle emissions.

Computer Science students Nicholas Sanders and Humphrey Shotton secured victory in the undergraduate category of the prestigious Raspberry Pi programming competition, held at the Science Museum in London.

MP visits Exeter-based national family charity

Staff at an Exeter-based national charity welcomed local MP Ben Bradshaw to their Barnfield Hill office to discuss the future of family mediation.

Exeter Chiefs LV= Cup parade details

Exeter Chiefs can today confirm the official plans for today’s Open Top bus journey for the squad following their recent LV= Cup triumph over Northampton Saints.

At the kind request of the Lord Mayor Cllr Rachel Lyons and Exeter City Council, the Chiefs will parade the LV= Cup through the city before then taking part in a civic reception at the Guildhall.

Police and Crime Commissioner Tony Hogg has ‘listened to the voices of our communities’ to set new priorities for Devon and Cornwall Police.

Local charity Hospiscare are looking for people to take on a hilly challenge this July.

From 3-6 July a team of walkers will be taking in the beautiful Jurassic Coastline on a moderately challenging walk along the Jurassic coastal path in support of Hospiscare.
