East Devon residents are asked for their views and suggestions on polling stations ready for council to consider in December
East Devon District Council is due to launch a review into the district’s polling districts and polling places and is seeking feedback from the public.
The council will be pleased to receive views from anyone, but particularly stakeholders, such as electors, parishes, political parties and councillors. It will also be grateful for comments from people and organisations with expertise in access for people with disabilities.

For the Okehampton & District Agricultural Association work is well underway and plans are in place for the 108th Okehampton Show on Thursday 13th August at Stoney Park Showground, just outside Okehampton.
This traditional countryside event, where animals take pride of place, is a very popular day out in a beautiful setting on the northern edge of the Dartmoor National Park and is a great opportunity to meet with friends from far and wide. With all day entertainment and approximately 300 trade stands there’s plenty for everyone to see and do throughout the day.
Fire crews were called to a shed fire in Burnthouse Lane, Exeter this afternoon (Wednesday 29 July).
An appliance from Danes Castle and one from Middlemoor along with the rapid intervention unit attended a fire within an outdoor storage shed attached to a property just before 3.30pm.
Crews arrived and got to work with breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to put the fire out.
The cause of the fire was deemed accidental, and the storage shed was moderately damaged by the fire.
Families for Children are looking for adopters to come forward now.
There is no upper age limit for adoption, you can be married or single and you don’t have to own your own home.
The organiation is looking for people who have the room in their hearts and can offer a loving and secure family to children most in need. They are especially looking for those who may consider older children (over 4 years), sibling groups and children with disabilities.
