The Exeter Dementia Action Alliance will be officially launching next month at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum with over 100 due to attende from local councillors to city retailers, businesses, people living with dementia and their care givers.
RAMM Community Participation Officer said: “RAMM is proud to be part of the Alliance, this growing community of organisations working towards a dementia-friendly city. At the museum there’s always something to discover – about objects, about the world, about yourself, or the person with you. We value every visitor.”

Now in its fifth year, the BIHR's Human Rights Tour partners with local groups from across the UK bidding to bring BIHR to town for free-to-attend pop-up community education and debate days to raise awareness about human rights.

A three-month-old baby was rescued from a locked garage in Newton Abbot today.
Firefighters from Newton Abbot were sent to the garage in Jetty Marsh Road just after 11am, following a call reporting a car with a baby inside, which had been accidently locked in a garage.
Crews rescued the baby girl by gaining access to the garage via a ground floor window and used small tools to gain entry to the vehicle.
Spacex artist and independent curator Trevor Pitt is setting up Preston Street Union – PSU; an affiliation of artists from in and around Exeter that will come together over a five week period to explore collaboration as a strategy for artists. The event will take place from 13 October – 7 November 2015.

A community fun day was held at Newcourt in Exeter recently to enable local residents to celebrate the opening of the station and to thanks them for their support during its construction.
The Newcourt Community Association organised the event with the help of Devon County Council. There was plenty of fun for all ages, with a BBQ, bouncy castle, and face painting, and with entertainment provided by the Lympstone Training Band.
