Exeter City Supporters Trust welcomes lottery funding for history project

The Exeter City Supporters Trust has welcomed a massive boost to its plans for celebrating the history of St James Park, home of Exeter City Football Club since the early 20th century.

A bid to document, preserve and share the history of the ground, submitted by the University of Exeter working in partnership with the Trust’s History Group, has been successful in attracting grants of £29,100 with the main contribution coming from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).

Fans of Pink Floyd will be flocking to Exeter Corn Exchange on Saturday 28 May when UK Pink Floyd Experience visits the venue on a national tour.

UK Pink Floyd Experience was formed in 2008 and features top class musicians recreating the music and atmosphere of the great Pink Floyd in concert.

Chiefs & City battle it out at showroom launch

The age old debate of whether rugby or football is the superior sport came to a head on Wednesday 4th May when players from the Exeter Chiefs and Exeter City FC battled it out… in a cook-off!

In celebration of the opening of The Room Works, a brand new kitchen and bathroom showroom based on Alphinbrook Road, Exeter, players were pitted against each other to make a starter, main course and dessert under the watchful eye of Austin Gosling, Head Chef at On the Rocks restaurant in Torquay.
