On Saturday, the route between the Exeter Phoenix arts centre and Exeter Library will be transformed, as the Freefall Youth Group wield spray cans and stencils to create a new graffiti artwork. The work, called Freefall Climate Graffiti, will feature maps of the UK showing how our climate could change in future decades.

'Don't let it slip now' - Nowell

Hat-trick hero Jack Nowell says Exeter Chiefs cannot afford to let their standards slip as the quest for glory in this season's Aviva Premiership cranks up another notch. The Cornishman was in devastating form on Saturday, helping himself to three of Exeter's ten tries in their 62-24 demolition of Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop. That success not only ensured Rob Baxter's side ended the scheduled top flight season on a significant high, but it guaranteed the Chiefs second spot in the table and a home semi-final against Wasps in the end of season play-offs. When the Devon County Show opens on May 19 at Westpoint, Exeter, visitors with cheesy feet are likely to be hot footing it to the Angora goats feature.

For Show Steward and Angora goat farmer Steve Whitley is producing a line of odour resistant socks which he claims don’t smell and don’t need frequent washing.

He said the fleeces of angora goats do not trap smelly bacteria in the same way as scalier wool or cotton fibres, and his mohair socks can be worn for as much as a year without washing.

"Our customers started owning up to the fact that they could wear them for...
