Jump racing returns to Exeter Racecourse next Thursday (October 8) when a six race card heralds the start of the new season.

Seventeen race meetings are set to take place between now and the beginning of May and with the racecourse renowned for the quality of racing on offer, spectators will hear the thundering hooves of some of the very best young horses in the country.

Exeter Racecourse has launched its annual ‘Win A Share in a Racehorse’ competition prior to the start of its new season which begins on October 8.

The racecourse has teamed up with popular Devon trainer Martin Hill who will be offering an ownership experience with Rydon Pynes, a seven-year-old set to begin his novice chasing career in the Autumn. He has won two hurdle races and finished in the frame on another six occasions.

Exeter Racecourse Ladies’ Night

Ladies’ Night at Exeter Racecourse on Tuesday, May 5 is when the glitz and glamour of racing descend on Haldon Hill. Glenn Cosby, a contestant in the 2013 series of BBC TV’s Great British Bake Off, is the guest speaker at the first of Exeter Racecourse’s series of ‘Business Breakfast’ networking events, which takes place on Friday, April 17.

Cosby was head of the sixth form at Teignmouth Community School at the time of his Great British Bake Off success. Now he is immersed in the food industry with his new company, ‘Bake It Big Productions’, which lives up to its name of big baking cookery demonstrations having toured the country and also run the month-long Edinburgh Fringe festival.
