Through exploration students have been assessed in their practical understanding of acting techniques. "Not everyone's on Twitter"

The past week was Local Democracy Week and Exeter City Council organised several events, including a Question Time from Exeter College.

During the event, I live-tweeted questions and answers. To what end?

Well, local councillor, Catherine Dawson hasdbeen signed off sick and was unable to attend Full Council on Tuesday and the other events during the week - she felt isolated from what was going on. At least she had Twitter.

Twenty-two-year old Ashley Jeary from Pinhoe, Exeter has made it in the Radio Academy’s prestigious 30 under 30.

Ashley, who presents Live and Local on weekday evenings and the Afternoon show on Saturdays on 107.3FM Radio Exe, was one of thousands in the running this year and is the only winner from a radio station that is not part of a larger network.

30 under 30 is the Radio Academy’s national “one to watch” programme putting the spotlight on young and talented upcoming professionals from the industry.

Thousands descend on Princesshay’s Student Lock In

Princesshay Shopping Centre welcomed thousands of new and returning students to its annual ‘Student Lock In’ event on Wednesday 2 October. Over 3,600 students descended on the Student Lock In between 6.30pm – 9pm, with 30 retailers and restaurants offering discounts of up to 25% to students.

Exeter College students take part in MOD training exercise, Operation 'Short Sermon'

On Wednesday 2 September, five Exeter College media students took part in a training exercise designed to test Plymouth City Council and the MOD’s contingency planning.

The exercise, codenamed Short Sermon, tested the reactions of these organisations and local authorities in the event of nuclear reactor accident.

During the day around 27 separate groups, including students from the College, took part in playing and responding at operational, tactical and strategic levels across Exeter, Plymouth and Truro.

The Student Lock In is back! For one night only at Princesshay

The Student Lock-In is set to return to Princesshay Shopping Centre for the third year running on Wednesday 2 October from 18.30-21.00. The shopping centre will be closed for exclusive use by students from Exeter and the surrounding area for one night only.

A level students and staff at the FE Provider of the Year, Exeter College, have continued a year of record-breaking news with today's announcement of a 99.4% pass rate.

Students from across Exeter, Devon and Torbay choose to study A levels at this leading college and almost half of this year's 691 young people taking A2 exams achieved Grades A*, A or B grades, which will enable most of them to progress to top universities in the future.
