A local Forest School has spent the last few months developing the South West's first Forest School based kindergarten in Exeter.

The new kindergarten will offer 3-5 year olds an incredible opportunity to learn in unique surroundings, embrace nature and make new friends. The kindergarten will be run by qualified, experienced education professionals who are passionate about outdoor learning.

Two houses burgled each day in Exeter

Two houses are burgled in Exeter every day according to shocking new government statistics uncovered this week.

The statistics show that there were 710 burglaries in Exeter between March 2014 and March 2015, meaning one was reported to police every 12 hours. The statistics also found that an incident of vehicle crime happens every 20 hours in the city.

Although police clearing rates (the rate at which police successfully solve rimes) was high in some areas, in Exeter the rate at which police solved bicycle crime was particularly low, with 86% of cases being closed without...

There is still chance to tee off for charity at this year’s ‘Charlie’s Trophy’ on Friday 3 July. Set to return for its third successful year, the charity golf day is a fantastic fun-filled event for budding pro and novice golfers alike to dust off their golf clubs and take to picturesque greens of Dainton Park Golf Club.

Happy Fez-iversary to Martin and his fundraising army

Yesterday (28 May) marked the first anniversary of a unique fundraising idea to raise money for Exeter cancer charity FORCE.

The Fez campaign led by Martin Lynn has brought in close to £20,000.

It’s a remarkable achievement by the Exeter father-of-three, who is battling a rare cancer of the immune system.

He and some of his close lieutenants in the Fez Army got together for a celebratory lunch to mark the occasion and begin planning for the next year.

Exeter Family Friendly support Business Games

Exeter Family Friendly have donated £1100 to the Exeter Foundation in support of the Exeter Business Games run by Bigwave Media.

The award-winning insurance provider partially pound-matched £50 for each of the 22 teams that are competing in the games, which hosts a variety of team-based sports events through May and June.

Currently eighth place in the results table, this is the fifth year running that Exeter Family Friendly have competed in the games against other local businesses.
