Michelmores relay delivers trophy to Powderham Castle for September's 5k Charity Run

A team from Michelmores has taken part in a relay to celebrate the return of their 5k Charity Run, taking place on Thursday 8 September 2022.

The annual charity run took a short hiatus during the pandemic but returns for 2022, at a new venue. In its first 20 years, the Michelmores 5k Charity Run took place in the centre of Exeter, starting at the Cathedral Green and running around the city. This year, participants will be running through the glorious parkland of Powderham Castle in Kenton.

A science comedy game show, lockdown blues workshop, and community radio takeover are just some of the events in a fascinating virtual festival of discovery taking place in Exeter later this month.

Exploring science, culture, and research, FUTURES2020 is hosted by the University of Exeter in partnership with Agile Rabbit, alongside the Universities of Bath, Bristol and Plymouth and Bath Spa University.

Composer has created a soundmap of locations around Exeter during lockdown

For the past few weeks composer / technologist Simon Belshaw has been working on a project to create a soundmap of recordings in various locations in the Exeter area that he passed through on his daily exercise whilst we have been in lockdown. All these recordings were made in line with the Government advice on 'Staying safe outside your home' and 'Staying at home and away from others'.
