Crediton is getting ready for a new visitor.

The team at Crediton Parish Church have to produce new themes and ideas each year, which will work as an exhibition with flowers. This year's Crediton Parish Church Flower Festival theme is no exception.

Intriguingly entitled 'What's the Point...', the team will be coaxing a rhino into church, with our outside broadcast crew taking photos and video from a safe distance.

Fun on the Water in Mid Devon

Families have the chance to try a range of water based activities at the Grand Western Canal Country Park’s ’Fun on the Water' day later this month.

Stand-up paddle boarding, rowing boat and Canadian Canoe hire sessions as well as model boating and pond dipping are on offer.

The event is being held at the Grand Western Canal Basin on Saturday 13 May 2017 between 11am and 3pm.

Professional stand-up paddleboarding instructor Rob McPaddling will hold a free taster session.

Roger Styles will be playing acoustically at the brewery on Friday May 2017.

An experienced musician who has played for clients such as the Queens Guard at Westminster, numerous Monaco Grand Prix's and the Joss Stone House Band.

Tables on the evening can only be booked if you are eating with us.

Hanlons Bar opens every Friday from 5.00pm for food and/ or drinks. We have a fully stocked bar and the food served contains Hanlons ale. All dietary requirements can be catered for with a bit of advanced warning.

Over 1,400 savvy shoppers were treated to an exclusive one night only event, The Spring Spree, on Thursday 3oth March.

Thirty-five retailers and restaurants including Debenhams, Hobbs, Joules, Molton Brown, Hotel Chocolat, Coal Grill & Bar and Carluccios took part. Guests benefited from exclusive discounts, goodie bags and free treatments.

Pilgrim BM45 was built and rigged in Brixham in 1895 and has just completed her winter refit. She’s a superb example of a classic Brixham sailing trawler and part of the local heritage fleet so this is an opportunity not to be missed!
